In the past, Abhimanyu had been a part of the Mahabharat war and was a son of Arjun and Subhadra. As a result, he was reincarnated by Chandra Devtaa. During his 16-year stay on Earth, Abhimanyu was known to be a very brave and heroic person who was born to do whatever Chandra Devtaa wanted him to.

After learning about his identity, Abhimanyu becomes adamant to get his father back in his life. He challenges Abhinav that he cannot separate him from his son, and will do everything to make him feel like he was part of the family.
